Dustin McCorkle
A graduate of Texas Tech University, Dustin McCorkle is the first CMO of the Annapolis, Blues!
Born just outside of Dallas, Texas he was introduced to all sports growing up, and fell in love with the beautiful game of soccer. After graduating high school, he attended Dallas Baptist University where he competed in the school’s first ever national soccer tournament. After finishing 5th in the nation, he decided to move on from soccer and transferred to Texas Tech University to pursue a degree in exercise sports science. After receiving his bachelor's degree, he spent four and a half years building his professional brand as an account executive in the sports world with the Atlanta Hawks front office sales team. He was a top AE for four years with the Hawks, and identified he wanted to move into management and develop a front office sales team of his own. This decision moved him to New Jersey as a Manager of Ticket Sales with NJ Devils hockey team. He finished his time with the Devils overseeing all of Premium Sales in the fourth busiest venue in the country, the Prudential Center.
After leaving the New Jersey Devils, Dustin put time into his personal life by getting married and building a home in Lubbock where he wanted to plant his roots for the first time since leaving college. He joined Learfield Sports where he helped build sponsorships for Texas Tech Athletics and build relationships with the business community. A short time later, he decided to start his own sales consulting company, The Hub Training & Consulting, LLC, which still exists today. His mission and passion is to help build successful sales organizations through face-to-face meetings and top-notch sales training in sports and out of sports. He most recently was named the Chief Revenue Officer of the most respected club in the USL, New Mexico United. His team finished number one in merch & retail sales, number two in ticket sales and fifth in sponsorship sales all while playing at a baseball stadium.
In December 2021, Dustin felt a calling to make an impact in his own community. This inspired him to leave New Mexico United and join the first ever semi-pro soccer team to come to Lubbock, TX. He is driven to lead a group of like-minded individuals who share his vision to inspire and elevate Lubbock, Texas. Soccer will be a tool to drive unity and inspire others to do better within the community we love so much. The club's goal is to win on and off the field by competing at a high level and creating meaningful and positive outcomes in our city. When he is not focused on sports and community Dustin can be found with his beautiful wife of five years Casey, two amazing kids Maverick and Myka, and two boxers, Berkleigh and Tucker.
After a successful first season with the Matador's, he decided to team up with Michael Hitchcock to go replicate that success in Annapolis, Maryland with the Blues as CMO.
"I am so excited to be the club's first CMO and bring the world's game to Annapolis, Maryland. Soccer is the fastest growing sport in the country and Annapolis is a great town that deserves to have a team to call their own. We are going to be a community focused organization whose goals are to win and off the field with community outreach and business growth. We are ready to welcome everyone to the Blues family as soccer is an access for all sport. We are excited to showcase our local businesses in a powerful way to the whole world!"
